Guest ant650 Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Could anyone tell me if there is a way round this problem.Having had a towbar fitted, the cars rear reversing sensors are picking it up and telling me this constantly. I don't want to pull the fuse cos as soon as wifey gets in the garden wall will be down. Apart from a removable towbar, is there any other way round tis. Any help appreciated. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 Yes - go to dealer (groan) and have the sensors re-programmed. This is a "known" thing that needs doing if you have a towbar (several other postings are on this forum addressing this particular query). Quote

I fitted a towsure bar with a bumper plate and by doing the items mentioned I have no problems except the documented prob in the handbook sometimes(very seldom) when it rains or sensors are dirty. :D I have some problems with dealers they charge ???/hour !!!
